My Work
|
I have a wide range of knowledge and experience in various aspects of Theater and Theme Park Entertainment, but my main focus in any project I tackle is immersion. How can we theme any aspect of what is used, however small, to create an environment where even folks working backstage at a venue can feel immersed in the story while still maintaining functionality--even if it just comes down to making Holiday decorations that remain in the story of your Star Wars Starcruiser.

Broken out into pages, below you will find examples of my work through different personal projects as well as professional projects.
Personal Projects |
|
I pick up hobbies like they're going out of style, and thus have a lot of basic knowledge in a lot of different areas. Combined with a (sometimes annoying) need for things to be just right, I end up making an interesting variety of things that are not necessarily for a specific show or professional project.
In this work you'll find a variety of things; from puppets to spell sheets to cakes to wreaths to knitted dog sweaters, it's all in here and laid out with some explanation of what the different projects were. You'll also find some projects that are related to my work at Disney, but were not made specifically for my work there--just a few fun items relating to different areas. Many of these projects relate to Dungeons and Dragons. Whether they are pieces for a character cosplay from a Live Play show, art for an in-character spell book for a wizard, a puppet version of someone's D&D character, or large battle map wreaths--if you are a fan of Dungeons and Dragons or fantasy, there are plenty of projects in here to enjoy. |
Phoenix Tears Productions |
|
With Phoenix Tears Productions I have filled many different roles to produce the various shows we have done as a company. Most notably of those shows have been my work on our interactive and immersive Murder Mysteries where I conceptualize, write, and produce the shows with the rest of our team. I also run the shows as part of our tech and stage management team to keep our actors up to speed in real time as elements change and progress.
Many of our shows are site specific with no real scenic elements to keep budgets for our small theatre company low, but I have had a hand in developing many of the props for our shows as well. Click through above for some of my design elements I've featured. You can also click the link below to be taken to the Phoenix Tears Productions website for more information on our work. |
